What is physical therapy?
Physical therapy is a medical, hands-on approach to relieve pain and preserve, enhance or restore movement and function. Physical therapists are licensed medical experts in musculoskeletal conditions. Physical therapists evaluate movement, identify the cause of pain, and work to eliminate it using specialized hands-on techniques, exercises and equipment.
Can I go to any physical therapy I choose?
Yes and no. Your insurance may determine which physical therapy company you can be treated at under your plan. Medicare and PPO plans will allow you to visit the pt clinic of your choice. Many HMO plans allow this as well however, some HMO plans have exclusive contracts with specific physical therapy companies and under those plans you must be treated by the contracted PT. All Star Physical Therapy accepts Medicare and most PPO and HMOs. Please call us at (951) 679-8066 to verify your insurance and coverage.
How do I schedule an appointment
To schedule an appointment please call our Central Scheduling department at (951) 679-8066. One of our All Star members will work with you to discuss insurance, referrals and scheduling at one of our 20 locations that works best for you.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your ID, insurance card and completed patient intake forms with you to your first visit. Click here to print the New Patient Intake Forms. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your first appointment to complete the check in process and complete remaining paperwork. Please wear comfortable clothes to your first, and all additional appointments, that will allow your therapist to properly evaluate and treat your area of concern
Does insurance cover physical therapy?
Yes. All Star Physical Therapy accepts most insurances. To ensure your treatment will be covered please call us at (951) 679-8066 to verify your insurance.
What type of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, debit card and credit card. Copays, if any determined by your insurance coverage, are due at time of treatment at each visit.
What do I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothes. Athletic wear is not required but it is important that you dress appropriately that will allow your therapist to properly treat your area of concern.
How long will my therapy sessions last?
Therapy appointments typically last between 30-60 minutes. Your therapist will determine the frequency and duration of your treatment to best meet your specific therapy needs.
