Elijah Bishop attended Pepperdine University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine with a minor in Nutritional Sciences. After obtaining a certification in massage therapy, Elijah decided to further his education and obtained a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Mount Saint Mary’s College.
In 2003, Elijah relocated to the Coachella Valley where he formed a partnership with another physical therapist and opened an outpatient physical therapy clinic in Rancho Mirage.
After carefully analyzing his history, experience and strengths, Elijah realized that his vision of the ultimate physical therapy clinic had evolved. Therefore, in 2006, Elijah became the founder of Elite Physical Therapy and Wellness located in La Quinta, CA.
Currently, Elijah maintains his position as regional director at all Elite Physical Therapy & Wellness locations as well as Coachella Valley CrossFit. Currently he is the only Orthopedic Certified Specialist in the Coachella Valley that also holds Level 1 certificates in both CrossFit and Fascial Stretch Therapy.”
Ross hails from the county of Cornwall in southwest England. Ross’s interest in physical therapy and body work began in his 20’s after injuries he sustained to his shoulder that were relieved with Physical Therapy treatment. His journey towards becoming a Physical Therapist started in 2000 when he began a bachelor’s degree in sport science in southwest London. After a brief gap year, he then went on to complete his Physiotherapy Degree at St. George Hospital and Medical School in London where he also trained in Britain’s National Health Service (NHS).
Ross then decided that he wished to pursue his Physical Therapy career in the United States and began the process of credentialing to attain U.S. licensure. After attaining licensure he pursued working in different areas of U.S. healthcare such as critical care, neurological outpatient and acute care physical therapy which provided him with an array of skills and experiences that helped develop his clinical competence and help prepare him for a career in orthopaedic outpatient physical therapy in the U.S. Ross went on to complete his transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2015 with Evidence in Motion Institute of Health Professions and his Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) with the American Board in 2017. Ross has also completed postgraduate training in taping therapy, spinal mobilization, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and in electrical therapies such as pulsed electromagnetic frequencies and microcurrent.
Ross has now been a physical therapist for approximately 11 years having worked in the UK and now in the USA. His main area of focus in on the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal injuries using physical therapies and rehabilitation. In his free time, he enjoys learning Spanish, playing guitar, hiking and traveling around Europe and the U.S.
